Fearful Fidos Class (Sun 6pm - Raleigh location)

The 6 wk Fearful Fidos class is a remedy class designed for the dog who is anxious in new situations or around new people or dogs to the extent that they would be unable to take a regular class. This class is for the dog who consistently reacts to new situations, people, or other dogs by showing fearful behaviors like trembling, hiding, snapping, or fear biting. The class is aimed at building confidence through the use of positive reinforcement and successful experiences. The goal is to increase overall social confidence and sense of security in new situations. This class is held indoors and is taught by a master level trainer.  *** THE FIRST CLASS IN AN ORIENTATION, WITHOUT DOGS. ***. The next two weeks are devoted to individual consultations at 30 minutes a piece. The next four weeks the dogs attend the classes with their handlers. Each class with the dogs is 45 minutes in length. Dogs should be at least 5 months of age. All dogs must have Rabies vaccinations and DHPP vaccinations or titers. Handlers must be adults. Due to the nature of the behaviors addressed in this class, no children under the age 18 or visitors are allowed.
